Carolyn Null, age 72, passed away on May 1, 2013.  She was a 47 year resident of Phoenix, AZ.

Carolyn was born in Evansville, Indiana to Clara Mae and Richard Wastjer. Carolyn graduated from Bosse High School in Evansville.  She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Indiana University in 1963. Jack and Carolyn moved to Tempe in August 1966. Carolyn received her Master’s Degree in Education at Arizona State University.  In 1974, her family moved to North Phoenix, where she maintained her residence for her remaining time on Earth.

Carolyn wore many hats as a mother, wife, friend, teacher, tax preparer, notary, registrar, newsletter editor, homemaker and volunteer. She attained the status of ACBL (bridge) Life Master, and was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Carolyn was a cat lover (dogs and horses too!) and pet parent to several cats over her life.  She enjoyed tending her gardens, trees and flower beds.  She also enjoyed reading, horseback riding, and swimming.

She is survived by her son Lance, grandson Michael, brother David and sister Diane.

Celebration Services are scheduled for 11 am, June 29 at Shadow Rock Church,

Carolyn’s final resting place will be in the Memorial Garden at Shadow Rock Community Church in Phoenix.
