8 Memories to “Eula Mae Goodloe”

  1. Reta Taylor says:

For 29 plus years, we’ve had the privilege to be friends. We’ve been through and shared much. My children referred to you as “their mother’s best friend.” My husband talks about the phone ringing every Friday morning and he new it was you. Last week we talked every morning even sharing memories so dear to each of us not knowing that would be our last week sharing together. Although we loved you, God loved you best and you are in a much better place, sitting at the feet of Jesus. Once again I love you much and will forever cherish the friendship we had. Reta

  2. Susan Flowers says:

I have many fond memories of the time we spent in okinawa Japan and our continued friendship until her home going. We had occasions to laugh, cry and pray together. I enjoyed Eula’s great cooking, especially her cakes. I will miss Eula’s calls,Christmas and birthday cards. I will cheerish the last gifts from her forever. I thank God for putting Eula in my life on this earth. We will meet again.

  3. Tammie Arnold (Davis) says:

I have said so much already about Ms. Eula but yet I still feel like there is so much more to be said about the beautiful and wonderful lady that she is. There is no “was” because she is still with us in spirit, faith and love. She will be in my heart forever and we will meet again one day. And when we do, we can sit and talk and laugh and cry all day because then there will be no time limit to spend with friends. She better have a Red Velvet cake waiting for me too 🙂

  4. Pam Warren says:

I can’t believe she is gone. I am so glad I go to see her and tell her I loved her before she had surgery. I bet she is up in Heaven with her little girl tell her “looked how blessed I am”. I will miss her prayers, cakes, black eyed peas, and shopping stories at “our stores. I am sorry she didn’t get to enjoy her retirement like she deserved…but I am sure she is in heaven and what can be better than that. Till we meet again…scope out all the shopping places Ms Eula RIP..Love you

  5. Bonnie and Barry says:

God has taken on another Angel in Heaven. He now has Eula. Barry liked hearing from you and will miss your emails; but I give you permission to watch over him while he is in Nepal. You will always have a special place in our hearts. The Girls’ Sales won’t be the same without your visits.

  6. Pam Warren says:

You will always be in my heart Eula Mae….start clipping coupons, making my blackeyed peas and finding Goodwills…till we shop again…

  7. Shirley Gipson says:

Eula, Ther are many people that we meet in our lives but only a very few will make a lasting imperession on our minds and hearts. These people will always listen and talk to you, They will care about your happiness and well-being, They will like you for who you are and they will support you at all times, It is these rare people that we will think of often and who will always remain important to us as true friends. I am fortunate to have had you as a true friend since 1983 and no matter were my travels have taken me you have then there. I will truly miss you

  8. Maria G. Calderon says:

Eula, oh how I am missing you so very much right now. I think about you almost daily, if not daily. The boys and I are truly blessed to have had an amazing neighbor and someone to look after us. I’ve since moved, but I still drive by the complex on my way to drop off Eric at school. I can’t help but look over at your condo and hope I will see you outside – you always looked so cute (especially on Sundays when you got all dressed up to go to church). There are pieces of you throughout my new place too: a rug in the loft; your pic in the family room; the little butterfly figurine in my bedroom (you’d be proud to know I’ve gone from a twin size bed to a king size bed – I can’t help but laugh at the look on your face when I told you I’d donated my queen size bed haha); the towels in both bathrooms (they came in so handy after we used our old towels (darn tree roots got into our plumbing); and last, but not least, your wind chimes. :). We love you Eula – maybe I will show up at my door and find an envelope with coupons for me…
