Mark Craig Goodman

Mark Craig Goodman passed away unexpectedly on March 6th, 2013 at the age of 58 from an aorta dissection.  He was born in Manhasset, New York, to parents Jerome and Frances Goodman.  He graduated in 1972 from Walt Whitman High School, and went on to graduate from the University of Arizona in 1977.

After graduating from the U of A, he went back to New York and attended broadcasting school.  He spent a little time working in the furniture industry, was a ring announcer for professional wrestling, sold air time for KRST radio in Albuquerque, New Mexico and then ventured back into the furniture industry as an independent sales rep.

A year ago Mark underwent a bone marrow transplant after battling Multiple Myeloma (cancer) for a year.  He was in full remission.

Mark is survived by his wife Kelly of 15 years; son, Jonathan; daughter, Sarah; his mom, Frances Koster; stepdad, Martin Koster; a brother, Scott Goodman (Cheryl) and two sisters, Patrice Auerbach (Rick) and Lauren Pulver (Brad); a nephew Jeffrey; and two nieces, Stevie and Lindsay.  He was pre-deceased by his father, Jerome Goodman.

Mark loved to travel around the world to exotic places like New Zealand, Mongolia, The Galapagos Islands and The Cook Islands; visiting wineries; loved sports, especially March Madness, absolutely loved his job and anything and everything that involved his children.

A service is planned for Friday, March 15, 2013, at 4 o’clock p.m. at Turn West Designs, located at 6535 E. Cave Creek Road or call 480.595.5933 for directions.  In lieu of flowers an account has been set up for his children.  You may make a donation at any Wells Fargo Bank to The Jonathan and Sarah Goodman Benefit Donation Fund.

3 Memories to “Mark Craig Goodman”

  1. Travis Mock says:

Thank you Mark for touching my life. I have worked on your vehicles for many years. Through our business relationship we found friendship. I feel personal sorrow for your passing. We have shared many stories and lots of laughter. You never complained even though you faced pain head on, yet you maintained a very positive outlook. You reminded me of what strength means and how attitude effets events. You always had a whitty comment that made me laugh. I never imagined that one week prior to this tragic event, it would be our last visit. Im thankful that we spent a lot of time together that day. Thank you for Mark, your friend, Travis

  2. Kelly Goodman says:

The kids and I miss you so much. You were the best dad and husband. They always you knew you were so proud of them and we know you loved us. We love you!

  3. Keri, Jack, Nathan & Justin Jones says:

It doesn’t seem possible that you have been gone 2 weeks ago tomorrow. You were so caring and loving of my sister and Jonathan and Sarah. I know they miss you terribly and we will do our best to be there to comfort them, but it will never be the same as you did. We miss you and love you always.
