13 Memories to “Raymond Gerard O’Reilly, Jr.”

  1. Allisyn Harbison says:

Ray was a very special person to me! He would make every gloomy day into a sunny one for me. He was a best friend to me and made Christmas time unbelievable for both me and my son Evan. He knew Ray also and wanted to thank him for being such a good friend. He was so giving and caring and he had a great sense of humor! Ray had big dreams and wanted to travel to ireland. Now he will be waiting in the most beautiful place anyone can ever dream of. I know he is watching over me and my son and will continue to make the gloomiest of days bright for me. Ray will always be in my heart and there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of him and his love. I love you ray!

  2. Donna O'Reilly says:

    My Dearest brother Ray,
It has been a month since you passed and I think of you all the time. At Dad’s 80th birthday party there was a gaping hole and you were heartfelt missed and noticeably missing. It is strange to think of you as gone, but I do believe you are with our Grandparents the OReilly’s and the Rasich’s. A few of your friends are with you now and that means you are having fun. Even Gwen decided to go with you, so I know you are not alone. You are in the arms of angels, held closely and with love. Heaven is not a bad place to be and I believe you are there making noise and laughing.

You saved my life when I was young and I can only thank you for that. You always opened your door for me and welcomed us with stories and smiles. You were a good man, a good brother, a good father and a good friend to all.

I will miss you terribly and until we meet again know I love you.

  3. Candice (OReilly) Miller says:

    To my big brother,
I miss you! I love you! These are things I wish I was able to say to you before God asked you to come home to him. I always looked up to you. You opened your heart and home for all to come in. You were a giver and a true and loyal friend to many people. I hurt thinking that I will not see you again in his life, but I know I will see you again one day. I pray for you and Gwen that you have found peace and comfort in heaven. Because I know that is where you are at. My heart is filled with memories and love for you that I truly can’t explain nor will try too. These are mine and will be held with the most respect towards you, my brother. I love you and I will see you again one day! Till then, my prayers, my love and my heart will be with you. Your little sister, Candy

  4. Dear Ray Ray, My heart aches with the news of your passing. You are in my heart and will remain there. Many memories of you as a boy fill me with smiles. This is what I will remember of you. Rest in Peace Dear Cousin.

“What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget”

    Barbara Lou

  5. Chuck Musich says:

Ray Ray, my closest cousin. We spent several summers together at our house in the seventies those memories I have always cherished. Cruisin, roof riding going to the gigs with my band, swimming in the reservoir.Hiking in the hills, going up to frog pond. And then there was a time when we came to visit y’all and we went to a place that had a stream, we hiked back in a ways and you showed us where they had filmed some of the old westerns.. It seems like yesterday. You came to visit when I was practicing in Las Vegas. Several times! Again we had a great time! Very special. I miss you.

    Your cousin Chuckie

I used to laugh when your Mom and I went to the store and I always had you with me,-people always thought you were my son! I’ll cherish that, and that smile of yours always melted my heart.

    Cousin Ray Ray.

I have treasured memories of holidays spent in Ireland and California over the years. I remember when Matthew and I shared your room, and the fun we had, particularly with you and Greg, your beloved motorcycle, Valentine and the many trip we took, and not forgetting the trips with Valentine to the drive-in movies….

In the Irish tradition it is said:-

Go neiri an bothar amach romhat.
Go lige an ghaoth ar do chul.
Le teas na greine anuas ort.
Agus drucht baisti ar na banta.
Agus go dti go gcasfamid aris ar a cheile, go gcoimeadai Dia tu i Lub a laimhe.

Until we all meet again, may God hold you and Gwen in the palm of his hand.

    Cousin Paul
