Robert (Bob) N. Turgeon

Robert (Bob) Turgeon, 79, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, October 27, 2013. He is the son of Alice and Albert Turgeon and resided in Arizona for 33 years. Bob served in the US Army and was a veteran supporter till his death. He was married to his best friend, Lorraine Turgeon, for 56 1/2 years, to the day.

Bob has always been self-employed in various industries including: a family toy store, coins and stamps (numismatist), auctioneer, and painter. His love for coins and stamps stems from high school and continued til recently. Once he retired, he worked part-time at a local supermarket til last weekend. Bob was an avid gardener, thoroughly enjoyed all sports, had a passion for food, and had an extreme love for traveling. He and his wife traveled extensively throughout Europe and Australia and 49 of the 50 United States. Bob also loved being around his grandchildren and family and he spent a lot of time on family day- trips.

Bob is survived by his wife Lorraine Turgeon, his three children, Sue Beaule of Escondido, Ca. and her husband Brian; Bob Jr., of Minot, ME and his wife Ann; and JoAnn Dickson of Glendale, AZ and her husband John; his six grandchildren: :Nikki Griffin, Jaime Berube, Jake Rancourt, Holly Rancourt, Michael Dickson, and Jenna Dickson; great grandchildren: Lydia and Gabriel Berube and his brother Roger Turgeon. He is preceded in death by two other brothers, Fernand Turgeon and Richard Turgeon. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

A funeral mass is being held Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 11:00 am at St. Thomas More Chapel, 6180 W. Utopia Rd., Glendale, Az. 85308
