One Memory to “Robert Peter Anselmo, Sr.”

  1. Hannah Sorensen says:

Robert, we lived down the street from each other when I was a child. Meeting your daughter was a blessing in many ways, and I am so grateful that it led to me meeting you as well. My dad has always been a working man. He worked long hours to keep our family comfortable and I will always be thankful for that. I never felt like I lacked a father figure though because I had you. You helped me grow up and taught me a lot about what it means to be honest, happy, and crazy. You introduced me to Frank Sinatra and I will always remember laying on your couch listening to you sing “Young At Heart” on the karaoke machine. I always think of you when I hear him sing. You taught me how to tell real, authentic New York pizza apart from the cheap crap (some call it grease, but we call it oils, right? :D), and I always remember when you would play bulldozer with us kids and make us feel like you were going to crush our bones haha. You always were smiling and you always were “young at heart”. You are a truly remarkable person and I feel lucky simply knowing you. You have fought through so much for so many years and it’s time you rest peacefully now. I love you, you big goof. I miss you just as much.
