Verlin “PeeWee” Paul Dowers, 76, of Phoenix, passed away on May 17, 2014 in Glendale, AZ.  He was born on April 9, 1938 to the late Charles and Stella (Jeffers) Dowers in Georgetown, IL.  In 1979 he married Delores “Dee Dee” Gallegos Chavez who preceded him in death in 2010.   PeeWee is survived by six Children: Jeffery (Celia) Dowers, Wylie Dowers, Alexis Dowers, Teryl (Charlotte) Bos, Sheryl (Gary) Colburn, and Michael (Caroline) Bos; two Step-Children, Maxine (Archie) Bazan and Leroy Chavez; a Sister, Rose Mary Reed; Sixteen Grandchildren and many other loving family and friends.  He is preceded in death by a Son, John “Chuck” Dowers and two Step-Sons, Ralph Chavez and David Register.  Memorial services will be held at 3:30 pm, Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the Best Funeral Services – North Central Chapel, Phoenix, AZ.  Contributions are suggested to the Catholic Family Services, 1825 W. Northern Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85021.

    I have a lot of memories of Uncle PeeWee as a kid. Wasn’t able to go see him once he moved to Arizona, wish I could have. He will be missed a lot. He is now pain free and enjoying his life up in Heaven with his family there. Love all you guys. Wish I could be there. Thinking of you
